Do you remember GBA4iOS, the games console emulator ? Developer Riley Testut has finally announced that the emulator app is dead. It was actually killed off with iOS 8.1 but, after a long struggle to revive it, defeat has been conceded. However, we need not worry because the self-made developer has come up with a replacement and it’s called Delta Emulator.
Image : All About Delta Emulator
Delta is, in effect, GBA4iOS resurrected but with a few more emulators included. Delta Emulator provides the ability to emulate games from the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64 and the Super Nintendo to start with although we are assured that more emulators will be added later on. It will also contain all of the features we have come to know and love on GBA4iOS, including:
- Optimization for the iPad
- Airplay support
- Synchronization with Drop Box
- Wireless linking support
- New skins
- A brand new logo for the app icon
- Full support for all iOS devices on iOS 8 to iOS 10
- Regular updates
- Cheat codes for console games
- And loads more besides
Compatible Devices :
Delta Emulator will be supported on a wide range of iOS devices, all of those that can run iOS 8 through iOS 10 without any problems. If your device is one of the earlier ones and isn’t on this list, then it won’t work:
- iPhone 4s, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7, 7 Plus
- iPad Air, Air 2
- iPad Mini, Mini 2, Mini 3
- iPad 2, 3, 4
- iPad Pro – both models
- iPod Touch 5th and 6th Generations
Although Delta Emulator is in a closed beta program [ tutorial ], there is a way that you can try to get it on your device. However, we can’t promise that it will work for everyone but you have nothing to lose by trying it so follow the download instructions at the given link and give it a go. Delta Emulator does not require you to install a jailbreak, great news since we don’t have one for iOS 10 just yet and there are many people who want the same features but without jailbreaking.
